Hello Everyone! My name is Elizabeth Tucker, and I am one of the Kindergarten teachers at Henry Grade School in Henry, IL. I married Shane Tucker on September 3, 2011. He is a math teacher and Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Wethersfield High School in Kewanee, IL. I am 28 years old and this is my seventh year of teaching. We live in Oneida, Il and we are currently renovating my late grandparents house to raise our family in. I grew up on a farm where I had pigs, cattle, and even donkeys. We had barn cats and several black lab dogs. Growing up, I helped my dad with chores and even drove the tractor while baling hay.
Shane and I are the proud parents of an adorable little boy named Bryce who is already a year old! He is walking, running, and climbing on everything! He keeps us very busy! We are so blessed!
My family is very important to me. I have awesome parents who have been married for 35 years. They are the best role models. Shane and I have three nephews and four neices. We love hanging out with our families!
I attended Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL for four years where I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I taught 4th grade in Rantoul, Il my first year out of college. I then got a Kindergarten teaching position a little closer to home at Henry, IL. This is my sixth year here, and I could not be more happy. Teaching Kindergarten is definitely my calling in life.
In my free time I enjoy reading, taking pictures, blogging, scrapbooking, laughing, eating, getting together with friends, and boating with my family.
I have my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a speciality in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I love learning and I love teaching!
